The Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computing and Business Technologies is a modern degree that equips students with the necessary skills to compete and excel in the digital era. It provides a solid foundation in Computer Science including Data Science, Big Data, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Deep Learning, Blockchain, Cloud Computing and Cybersecurity, as well as applications to business such as Business Analytics, Digital Transformation, Fin-Tech and Project Management.

Christodoulos Efstathiades, Director of the BSc in Computing and Business Technologies, is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at UoL. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), and am MSc in Networked Computer Systems from University College London (UCL). He held positions both in academia and industry in the fields of Data Management, Data Science and Analytics. He worked as a data analytics engineer at the Bank of Cyprus and as a technology consultant and data engineer at EY Cyprus. He lectured at the Department of Computer Science at the European University Cyprus and at the University of Cyprus. His research interests lie in database systems and geospatial data management for big data, genomic data science and the application of data mining and machine learning in other sciences.
