We&#8217;re going to trek, chat, and have a great time during this lovely and enjoyable event. We might eat somewhere close once the hike is over.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>This time Cyprus Hikers are offering 2 trails. Both&nbsp;trails take place at Kambos tou Livadiou, which lies some 1500 m before Troodos square, as you are driving uphill from the Karvounas junction.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The total distance of both hikes is around 9 km. The 1st trail is a linear trail that reaches Mnimata Piskopon after about 3 km. The forward leg is mostly a modest downhill, consequently the return is a modest uphill. The duration of the 1st trail is two hours return, the degree of difficulty is 2 (medium) and the distance is 6 km. The 2nd trail is a circular trail around Kampos tou Livadiou, 3 km long, will require about one hour and degree of difficulty is 1 (easy).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the end of the walk we shall sit down and celebrate the occasion at the nearby picnic site, not far away from the walk start. You are expected to provide your own food\/drinks &#8211; food which may be shared with others is preferable. Those who would like to barbecue can do so as the place is provided with the appropriate space to light a fire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you are coming from Nicosia, you have the choice of meeting the group at the walk start, if you are very familiar with the place, or meet at the designated meeting point in Nicosia&nbsp;<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/3iJAegK\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">view map<\/a>. Meeting in Nicosia offers two important advantages: we drive in full cars, leaving some cars behind; thus, we save in fuel and enjoy the trip in good company. The meeting point in Nicosia is the Lefkotheo closed Athletic Centre (next to Makarion Stadium) which offers ample parking space. The car trip starts at 09:00. Please ensure you observe start times, for the benefit of the group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>N.B. 1<\/strong>&nbsp;If you are joining us from near Nicosia, please meet at the Nicosia meeting point, and come prepared to drive, offering a lift to members who do not have a car. Those getting the lift please be kind enough to share the cost of the fuel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>N.B. 2<\/strong>&nbsp;Kindly bring with you a small trash bag (or even a plastic grocery bag) and cloves in order to participate in our campaign to clean Cyprus starting from our trails.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Disclaimer: If you attend a Cyprus Hikers walk you do so entirely at your own risk.
