\u00a0On 22 and 23 February 2024<\/strong>, the UoL Center for DEI participated in the two-day European conference on Gender Budgeting organized by the Cyprus Gender Budgeting Platform and Ms. Mary Pyrgos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Greetings were given by the President of the House Mrs. Annita Demetriou and Commissioner for Gender Equality Josie Christodoulou.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In her address, the Commissioner underlined that, “Effective implementation of gender budgeting requires political commitment, administrative commitment, improved technical capacity, civil society involvement, and gender-disaggregated data. We are on our way there to achieve all the favorable conditions for the effective implementation of gender budgeting.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
