This year\u2019s event, attended by an even larger gathering of faculty and administrative staff, highlighted the university\u2019s expansion and its continuous journey toward growth and excellence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The ceremony commenced with an address by the CEO of the University, Mr. Panayiotis Sentonas, who reflected on the progress made since the institution\u2019s inception and the opportunities that lie ahead. <em>\u201cThis New Year symbolizes the continuation of our mission to nurture a vibrant academic community and deliver transformative education,\u201d<\/em> Mr. Sentonas stated. <em>\u201cThe growth of our University is a testament to the dedication of our staff, the trust of our stakeholders, and our unwavering commitment to shaping the future of learning and innovation.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Rector of the University, Professor Theodore Panayotou, also addressed the attendees, emphasizing the university\u2019s collective achievements and ambitious vision for 2025. <em>\u201cThe growth we celebrate today is not just a number\u201d<\/em> Professor Panayotou remarked. <em>\u201c<\/em>As we expand our academic offerings, foster research excellence, and strengthen our community ties, we are shaping a university that cultivates pride and ambition in all of us<em>.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A special moment of the ceremony was the presence of Mr. Yiannis Tsouloftas, President of the Limassol District Local Government Organisation and a proud University of Limassol alumnus. In his heartfelt remarks, Mr. Tsouloftas extended his best wishes for the New Year and shared his deep connection to the institution. <em>\u201cBeing here today brings back many memories,\u201d<\/em> he said. <em>\u201cAs an alumnus, I am filled with pride to witness the tremendous growth and vision of this university, which has always held a special place in my heart.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The ceremony also introduced several exciting developments planned for 2025, including the launch of new academic programs and initiatives designed to meet the demands of an ever-changing educational landscape.
