Admissions Overview

The University of Limassol is a progression of the Cyprus International Institute of Management (CIIM), a renowned business school operating in Cyprus since 1990 when it was founded as a Private School of Higher Education, by a group of leading executives of the Cypriot economy and renowned academics from leading Universities overseas.

Admissions Criteria
Academic Background
Undergraduate programs
To be admitted to the undergraduate programs at the University of Limassol you need to have earned and provide:
- high school leaving certificate with a minimum grade of 15/20 (for public schools) or 80/100 (for private schools), or
- three GCE A Level exams with grades ABB, or
- International baccalaureate with a minimum of 32 points.
Graduate programs
To be admitted to the graduate programs at the University of Limassol you need to have earned and provide:
- a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited program with a 2:2 and above from UK schools, or 3.0 and above from US schools, or 6.5 and above or the equivalent from Cypriot and Greek Universities and colleges. However, candidates with a lower grade than the above, might be admitted if they have compensatory strengths in terms of work experience or other accomplishments (for example, CFA, ACCA, or ACA).
Knowledge of English
EU nationals are required to undergo a UoL placement test to evaluate their English language proficiency, and for those who demonstrate deficiencies, there is the opportunity to enroll in a remedial English course at UoL.
Non-EU nationals, must possess a “Very Good Knowledge” of English at upper level B1, verified by one of the approved international English language tests listed. These tests include IELTS, TOEFL, and others, with specific score requirements detailed in the provided table. Students from Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, the UK, USA, and Canada (for Canada only graduates of institutions with English instruction) whose native language is English are exempt from providing international exam certificates or taking placement tests when applying to UoL programs.
Foundation Course for Learning English Language (pending CYQAA approval): The UoL English Language Foundation Course is designed to prepare international students from non-EU countries with lower level B1 language proficiency for entry into UoL undergraduate and graduate programs, aiming to elevate their language skills to upper level B1 or higher.

Interview (only for the graduate programs)
Once the completed application and supporting documents are received and the student is assessed to meet the admissions criteria, the Admissions Officer will then contact him/her to schedule an interview.
Reference Letters (only for the graduate programs)
Two references are required with at least one from an instructor familiar with the educational background of the candidate.
