Course Objectives
To sensitize students to the ethical dimensions of business and to train them to identify ethical dilemmas and resolve them based on ethical principles and moral theory. The course will examine the ethical and social responsibility of business from different perspectives) and will introduce tools of ethical analysis of management decisions involving difficult choices between right and right and wrong and wrong.
Learning Outcomes
- Identify ethical dilemmas in business.
- Identify factors that affect decisions/ dilemma resolutions.
- Analyze ethical dilemmas based on ethical principles and resolve them in a defensible direction.
- Evaluate the “morality” of others’ decisions, again based on alternative moral theories.
- Recognize and apply personal and professional codes of ethics.
