Distance learning courses are conducted through the Moodle platform. The technical requirements for participation in the courses are described in the Student Handbook, which is available to students. For Technical Support, submit a ticket via UoL Student Helpdesk.

Yes, you can download the certificate of participation in the final exams through the respective course page on Moodle.

The final grades are announced after the end of the Examination period through the Classter platform (Academic Data -> Marks).

Note: Grades for interactive activities, self-assessment activities, as well as assignment feedback are announced on Moodle.

Academic documents are sent in accordance with the guidelines provided by the University and Admissions Department.

Applications are submitted electronically through the official ΔΟΑΤΑΠ platform. The required supporting documents must be submitted and the corresponding fees must be paid. Please note that the final submission of the application is completed only after all required files have been uploaded. If you wish, you may temporarily save the supporting documents, in accordance with the instructions provided.

Please note that the responsibility for uploading the required supporting documents and completing the entire process on the ΔΟΑΤΑΠ digital platform lies exclusively with the student and not with the University. The University provides a purely supportive role only in facilitating the process by sending, via email, to ΔΟΑΤΑΠ the documents that correspond to each student, namely the Master’s Degree, the Transcript of Records and the Certificate of Mode of Study.

The University will send to ΔΟΑΤΑΠ, via email, all the necessary documents that correspond to it, namely the Master’s Degree, the Transcript of Records and the Certificate of Mode of Study, and will include you as recipients in the relevant email for immediate notification purposes.

In the event of a no-show at the graduation ceremony, your degree will be mailed to the address you have provided.

You may request a certificate by sending a relevant email to dlsupport@uol.ac.cy or by submitting a request through the UoL Student Helpdesk. Certificates are issued only for semesters you have already completed or for the current semester, provided that the fourth week of classes has been completed.

Degree certificates are issued twice per year, in March and October. The issuing period depends on the academic semester during which you successfully complete all your academic obligations.

If you successfully complete all your academic obligations during the January examination period, your degree certificate will be issued in March.

If you successfully complete all your academic obligations during the June examination period, your degree certificate will be issued in October.

If you do not successfully complete all the required courses of your programme of study on time, the issuing of your academic degree will be transferred to the next awarding period, after you successfully complete all pending academic obligations.

Yes.

Your degree certificate will only be issued once:

  • all required courses of the programme of study have been successfully completed;
  • final grades have been recorded;
  • all academic requirements for the successful completion of your studies have been fulfilled;
  • all financial obligations have been settled;
  • all necessary documents have been submitted during your admission process to the University of Limassol, such as High School Leaving Certificate, national ID card or passport, Bachelor’s degree and transcript, CV, and English language examination certificate, where applicable depending on the programme.

Avgis Hadjipapas is Professor of Neuroscience and Research Methods and Vice Rector for Academic Affairs and Quality Assurance at the University of Limassol.

He holds an MD from Kiel University (Kiel, Germany), an MSc in Cognitive Science from New Bulgarian University (Sofia, Bulgaria), and a PhD in Neuroscience from Aston University (Birmingham, UK).

He has worked as a Research Fellow at Aston University and the Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition, and Behaviour (Nijmegen, the Netherlands) and as faculty at the University of Nicosia, Medical School where he attained the rank of Professor.

Avgis Hadjipapas has expertise in educational processes such as building assessment programs from their foundation, overseeing them through appropriate governance structures and directing their quality assurance including psychometric evaluations.

At the University of Nicosia, he has served for more than 15 years as Academic Head of Assessment, steering multiple programmes through accreditation by the UK General Medical Council, Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP) and CYQAA.

Since 2023 he has also been an External Examiner for the School of Medicine at the University of Galway, Ireland.

As a neuroscientist, he works in electrophysiology and computational neuroscience, with particular interests in brain oscillations, synchronization, and network dynamics, studied through MEG, EEG, and computational modelling.

He has received funding and participated in the European Flagship, Human Brain Project. This work aimed at bridging human and animal electrophysiology, combining MEG/EEG source reconstruction with comparative studies of local field potentials, single-unit activity and computational modelling.

He also has interest in and investigates the role of oscillations and synchronization in epilepsy and Alzheimer's disease.

Ο Αύγης Χατζήπαπας είναι Καθηγητής Νευροεπιστήμης και Μεθόδων Έρευνας και Αντιπρύτανης Ακαδημαϊκών Υποθέσεων και Διασφάλισης Ποιότητας στο Πανεπιστήμιο Λεμεσού.

Είναι κάτοχος πτυχίου Ιατρικής (MD) από το Πανεπιστήμιο του Κιέλου (Κίελο, Γερμανία), μεταπτυχιακού τίτλου (MSc) στη Γνωσιακή Επιστήμη από το New Bulgarian University (Σόφια, Βουλγαρία) και διδακτορικού τίτλου (PhD) στη Νευροεπιστήμη από το Aston University (Μπέρμιγχαμ, Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο).

Έχει εργαστεί ως Ερευνητικός Συνεργάτης στο Aston University και στο Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition and Behaviour (Ναϊμέχεν, Ολλανδία), καθώς και ως μέλος του ακαδημαϊκού προσωπικού της Ιατρικής Σχολής του Πανεπιστημίου Λευκωσίας, όπου εξελίχθηκε στη βαθμίδα του Καθηγητή.

Ο Καθηγητής Χατζήπαπας διαθέτει σημαντική εμπειρία σε εκπαιδευτικές διαδικασίες, όπως ο σχεδιασμός και η ανάπτυξη προγραμμάτων αξιολόγησης από τη βάση, η εποπτεία τους μέσω κατάλληλων δομών διακυβέρνησης και η διασφάλιση της ποιότητάς τους, περιλαμβανομένων ψυχομετρικών αξιολογήσεων. Στο Πανεπιστήμιο Λευκωσίας υπηρέτησε για περισσότερα από 15 χρόνια ως Ακαδημαϊκός Υπεύθυνος Αξιολόγησης, καθοδηγώντας πολλαπλά προγράμματα μέσα από διαδικασίες πιστοποίησης από το General Medical Council (GMC) του Ηνωμένου Βασιλείου, το Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP) και τον Φορέα Διασφάλισης και Πιστοποίησης της Ποιότητας της Ανώτερης Εκπαίδευσης (ΔΙΠΑΕ).

Από το 2023 είναι επίσης Εξωτερικός Εξεταστής στην Ιατρική Σχολή του University of Galway στην Ιρλανδία. Ως νευροεπιστήμονας, δραστηριοποιείται στους τομείς της ηλεκτροφυσιολογίας και της υπολογιστικής νευροεπιστήμης, με ιδιαίτερο ερευνητικό ενδιαφέρον στις εγκεφαλικές ταλαντώσεις, τον συγχρονισμό και τη δυναμική των νευρωνικών δικτύων, τα οποία μελετά μέσω μαγνητοεγκεφαλογραφίας (MEG), ηλεκτροεγκεφαλογραφίας (EEG) και υπολογιστικής μοντελοποίησης. Έχει εξασφαλίσει ερευνητική χρηματοδότηση και έχει συμμετάσχει στην ευρωπαϊκή εμβληματική πρωτοβουλία Human Brain Project. Η συγκεκριμένη ερευνητική δραστηριότητα είχε ως στόχο τη γεφύρωση της ηλεκτροφυσιολογικής έρευνας στον άνθρωπο και στα ζώα, συνδυάζοντας την ανακατασκευή πηγών MEG/EEG με συγκριτικές μελέτες τοπικών δυναμικών πεδίου, δραστηριότητας μεμονωμένων νευρώνων και υπολογιστικής μοντελοποίησης. Παράλληλα, το ερευνητικό του ενδιαφέρον περιλαμβάνει τη μελέτη του ρόλου των εγκεφαλικών ταλαντώσεων και του συγχρονισμού στην επιληψία και τη νόσο Alzheimer.
