The University of Limassol is seeking an experienced and strategically oriented Business Development & Strategy Manager to lead the growth of corporate engagement, executive education, consulting activities, and market intelligence initiatives across the University.
This is a mid-senior role combining business development, strategic partnerships, market assessment, and institutional expansion, supporting the University’s academic and administrative leadership in ensuring that the academic portfolio remains aligned with industry evolution, labour market needs, and international opportunities.
The successful candidate will act as a key link between industry, academia, and institutional strategy, contributing directly to sustainable growth, programme relevance, and international development.
The Position
This role is designed to drive corporate training and consulting growth through the development of strategic partnerships, while providing Schools and Departments with actionable market intelligence to enhance programme positioning and competitiveness.
It ensures the University’s academic portfolio remains relevant, industry-aligned, and responsive to evolving global demands.
Additionally, the role supports sustainable international expansion and strengthens institutional engagement with organizations, professional bodies, and broader industry ecosystems to enhance impact and long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Business Development & Partnerships
- Develop and manage strategic partnerships with corporations, organizations, professional bodies, and institutions.
- Identify and secure corporate training, executive education, and consulting opportunities.
- Build and maintain a structured corporate sales pipeline and partnership ecosystem.
- Lead partnership negotiations from initial engagement through agreement execution.
- Promote the University’s executive education, research, and consulting capabilities to external stakeholders.
- Apply a consultative approach to understand organizational challenges and translate them into tailored academic or professional solutions.
Market Intelligence & Academic Portfolio Support
- Conduct ongoing market assessments to evaluate industry trends, skills gaps, and emerging professional needs.

Support academic and administrative departments with:
- Programme feasibility insights
- Demand analysis
- Competitive benchmarking
- Positioning recommendations

Provide strategic input for:
- New programme development
- Programme restructuring
- Academic portfolio optimization
- Ensure programmes remain aligned with evolving professional and employment market requirements.
- Act as an institutional advisor connecting academic innovation with real market demand.
Institutional Growth & International Expansion
- Support the University’s strategic expansion into selected international markets.
- Identify sustainable partnership opportunities abroad (academic, corporate, governmental).
- Assist leadership in evaluating opportunities for new markets, collaborations, and transnational initiatives.
- Contribute to the development of scalable and sustainable international engagement models.
Executive Education & Project Oversight
- Coordinate the design and delivery of executive education and consulting projects.
- Collaborate closely with faculty and academic units to ensure programme relevance and quality.
- Oversee client relationship management and ensure high levels of partner satisfaction.
- Monitor project performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Cross-Departmental Collaboration

Support coordinated institutional initiatives connecting education, industry, and innovation.
Business Intelligence & Reporting
- Track partnership performance, revenue contribution, and market opportunities.
- Provide periodic strategic reports to University leadership.
- Maintain accurate CRM tracking of corporate engagement activities.
- Translate market insights into actionable institutional recommendations.

Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Business, Management, Marketing, Strategy, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in business development, partnerships, executive education, consulting, or strategic roles.
- Proven experience working with corporate stakeholders or institutional partnerships.
- Experience in higher education, professional training, or consulting environments will be considered a strong advantage.
- Fluency in Greek and English is mandatory; additional languages considered an advantage.
