Senior Academic Position (Associate Professor / Professor) in Real Estate (Economics / Valuation / Sustainable Development)

The University of Limassol invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor in the field of Real Estate, with specialisation in areas such as Real Estate Economics, Valuation, and/or Sustainable Development.

We are seeking a senior academic with a distinguished track record in university-level teaching, research leadership, and curriculum development to contribute to the continued advancement of our real estate programmes. The successful candidate will play a leading role in shaping the academic vision of the field within the University, and in expanding our offerings across postgraduate education, including specialised MSc programmes in Real Estate.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide academic leadership in curriculum design, particularly in postgraduate programmes related to Real Estate, Valuation, and Urban Sustainability.
• Deliver high-quality teaching and assessment in subjects such as real estate markets, investment analysis, land use and planning, property valuation, and sustainable real estate development.
• Supervise MSc and PhD theses in related fields and support student research activities.
• Lead and contribute to externally funded research projects and promote interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Produce high-impact research published in internationally recognised, peer-reviewed journals.
• Mentor early-career academics and actively contribute to the research strategy and culture of the University.
• Encourage partnerships with industry professionals, public authorities, and accreditation bodies (e.g. RICS, SIOR, ETEK).
• Represent the University in international academic and professional networks.
• Contribute to internal governance, quality assurance, and strategic planning within the CIIM Business School.

Qualifications and Experience

• A PhD in Real Estate, Urban Economics, Land Management, Valuation, Economics or a closely related field.
• A strong record of high-quality teaching, with demonstrated experience in postgraduate programme development and delivery.
• Proven research excellence with a sustained record of publications in top-tier journals and success in attracting external research funding.
• Experience in supervising graduate students and mentoring academic colleagues.
• Familiarity with accreditation standards and professional practices in real estate, including sustainable and ethical frameworks.
• A strong international profile and active engagement with global academic or professional communities.
• Fluency in English is required; Greek language proficiency is considered a high advantage.
