On August 9, 2023, another important collaboration began for the University of Limassol and the UoL Center for DEI.
The renewal of their cooperation, through the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation, was announced by the University of Limassol and the Pancyprian Volunteerism Coordinative Council (PSE). The PSE and the University of Limassol agreed that this signing marks the continuation of the successful and long cooperation between the two sides to promote common goals in areas of common interest.
The MoU includes various actions, including the collaboration with the Centre for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion of the University of Limassol. The Centre, which deals exclusively with equality, diversity, and inclusion issues, will support and assist the work of the Pancyprian Volunteerism Coordinative Council, on a variety of issues, such as providing expertise for strategy and policy development, promoting and supporting training seminars and information activities, linking up with the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, Corporate Social Responsibility, participation in European and funding programs, as well as public awareness on issues of common interest.
The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding, which has a time horizon of three years, was made by the Rector of the University of Limassol (UoL), Professor Theodoros Panayiotou, and Mr. Elias Demetriou, President of the Pancyprian Volunteerism Coordinative Council, during a modest ceremony held at the premises of UoL, in Nicosia.
