Anastasia Kapsali

We are living in an era characterized by intense changes, rapid developments, which make the social, economic and natural environment changing and diverse. The business and political-institutional practices we knew until now are considered obsolete and questioned, because they are distinguished by stereotypical perceptions and discrimination, which result in the disruption of the social balance and the fragmentation of the social fabric. For this reason, priorities are changing their quiver so that in this new, complex and particularly demanding new society, they can adapt traditional institutions and values to achieve stability, orderliness and sustainability. The human factor is the cornerstone of any company/organization. Through a quick historical review, we realize that no product or service can be created/produced in the absence of humanity. For this reason, every organization and company must in any way eliminate social stereotypes and prejudices and realize that through diversity in a fully competitive market, the advantage is long-term growth and improvement. Every company – organization daily interacts with living organisms – individuals – people, who come from different socio-economic environments, with different culture and beliefs (religious, political, etc.) whom it must treat equally and create a healthy and pleasant working environment, where each one separately and all together will have a common purpose in line with the vision and mission of the company. This seminar focuses on the optimal management and utilization of human resources by HR professionals, and the creation of a transparent and safe working environment where teamwork is supported, participatory and corporate awareness is encouraged, social, racial, religious and all kinds of inequalities are eliminated, and a safe and healthy work environment is provided to produce innovations and achievements that will benefit the company and society as a whole.

Social marketing – business benefits – behaviour change (offered in Greek)
Anastasia Kapsali
Sociologist and Kindergarten Teacher
Cypriot society and economy, until six decades ago, was basically agricultural. The developments that took place throughout Europe and the world in general, did not leave the small local community unaffected, thus creating the need for realignments and modernizations, while maintaining stability and orderliness. Putting under the microscope the Cypriot context, the rapid changes taking place worldwide and the fact that Cyprus is an International Business Centre, it is now considered necessary by businesses to implement practices and reforms that will enhance the country’s competitiveness and economy but at the same time, will ensure social benefit and social order and prosperity. practices that can be implemented through the application of Social Marketing concepts. Within this dynamic and changing reality, social marketing is a “resourceful” tool through which techniques and policies are adopted and used that help solve social issues and always with the common good in mind. “Taking advantage” of the potential of Social Marketing, organizations and businesses develop and adopt good practices and actions such as those of Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainable Development, which enhance the smooth change of behaviour, attitudes and prejudices of individuals, a group or a society, design and ultimately implement policies aimed at personal and consequently social well-being. With them, both the state machine and the Local Government are called upon to implement Social Marketing and design campaigns aimed at changing behaviour towards social benefit (e.g. road safety campaign, disease prevention, etc.).

Innovative designs of corporate social responsibility (CSR) and social marketing actions for business benefits (offered in Greek)
1. Ioanna Panayiotou
COO at University of Limassol / biologist

Sustainable Development creates business resilience. The creation of a sustainable Corporate Culture not only protects the environment and leaves no one behind, but mainly creates new business opportunities. The seminar aims to develop knowledge, skills and attitudes about sustainable development. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and DEI (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion) issues are linked to each other, and their understanding and the design of specific innovative combined actions achieves the creation of a sustainable corporate culture. A key tool for behaviour changes inside and outside the organization is Social Marketing. Modern society is characterized as a society of intense reforms and rapid developments. Climate change, the increase in diseases, the introduction of new decrees and protocols to ensure public health, digital information and communication, the need to solve pathogenic social situations make social marketing the most important tool through which techniques are adopted and used to help solve such phenomena. Putting under the microscope the Cypriot context, the rapid changes taking place worldwide and the fact that Cyprus is an International Business Centre, it is now considered necessary by businesses to implement practices and reforms that will enhance the country’s competitiveness and economy, but at the same time, will ensure social benefit and social order and prosperity. This seminar will help the organization understand their degree of familiarity with Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and diversity, equality and inclusion issues, identify the negative impacts of their operation and adopt measures to reduce them, contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals. Also, through Social Marketing in combination with the above actions, businesses achieve the smooth change of behaviour, attitudes and prejudices of a group, an individual or a society, contributing both to their own development and to the well-being of society.
