In the bustling atmosphere of the OPAP Limassol Marathon 2024, the Ever Evolvers team from the University of Limassol (UoL) embarked on the Primetel 5KM Corporate Race with enthusiasm. Joining a diverse array of local and international runners, they added to the event’s vibrant energy while supporting its charitable endeavors.
On Saturday, 13th of April 2024, the Primetel 5KM Corporate Race saw a convergence of companies and organizations from across the island, with the UoL Team proudly representing their institution. Against the picturesque backdrop of Limassol’s coastline, the races kicked off from the city centre at Molos area, meandering through the ancient royal city before looping back to the starting point.
The Ever Evolvers embraced every aspect of the marathon, immersing themselves in the memorable event that left a lasting impact on participants and spectators alike. With anticipation already building for next year’s edition, the UoL students and Sports club are eager to vie for top honors.
A noteworthy highlight of the marathon was the outstanding performance of Dr Panagiotis Kouvaros, Assistant Professor in Artificial Intelligence (AI) at UoL, who clinched the 132 place out of 6870 participants—a testament to the dedication and skill of the UoL team. As the Ever Evolvers reflect on their achievements at the Limassol Marathon 2024, they eagerly anticipate the next opportunity to demonstrate their prowess and commitment to constant evolution.
