On 22 and 23 February 2024, the UoL Center for DEI participated in the two-day European conference on Gender Budgeting organized by the Cyprus Gender Budgeting Platform and Ms. Mary Pyrgos.
Greetings were given by the President of the House Mrs. Annita Demetriou and Commissioner for Gender Equality Josie Christodoulou.
In her address, the Commissioner underlined that, “Effective implementation of gender budgeting requires political commitment, administrative commitment, improved technical capacity, civil society involvement, and gender-disaggregated data. We are on our way there to achieve all the favorable conditions for the effective implementation of gender budgeting.”
