Student Union
The UoL Student Union is a student-led body that represents the interests of the students.
The main aim of the Student Union is to create a community that encourages academic, personal, and professional growth among students. The Student Union organizes a range of events, such as seminars, workshops, networking opportunities, cultural events, and sports activities. These events provide students with opportunities to meet new people, develop their skills, and enhance their learning experience.
The Student Union, in collaboration with the Student Welfare Office, also offers support to students through mentorship programs, career services, and access to academic resources.
Moreover, the Student Union works in close collaboration with the UoL administration to represent the needs and concerns of students, and to facilitate communication between the student body and the university.
Societies
Do you have a passion besides your chosen course?
Are you searching for a new one?
Whatever your hobbies are, there will be a group of like-minded students ready to welcome you.
What is a society?
UoL societies are groups of students with similar interests that get together regularly for a variety of events and activities. They’re great for socializing, making new friends, and sharing new experiences.
It’s really easy to get involved: after enrolling at UoL, all you have to do is sign up online for a society. You will then start receiving emails with invitations to events.
You can even start a new society if you can’t find what you’re looking for!
Participating in societies can help you gain valuable skills for your CV, such as networking outside of your course and improving your leadership, teamwork, communication, and event planning skills.
