On July 10, 2024, the University of Limassol and the UoL Center for DEI signed a memorandum of understanding with Sistema Cyprus, a music-social education program that offers opportunities for children to join orchestral ensembles.
The University of Limassol, in the context of the work of its UoL Center for Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (UoL Center for DEI) and its Corporate Social Responsibility, is launching initiatives and actions to strengthen the work of Sistema Cyprus, starting in September 2024.
The Parties will cooperate:
- so that Sistema provides UoL students with internship opportunities in communications, marketing, media, administration, and project management
- so that Sistema provides access to students at the University of Ioannina to conduct research and complete course work and internships in various fields related to students’ interests in the fields of psychology and social work
- so UoL will invite Sistema students to apply to its academic programs and consider them for merit and/or financial need scholarships
- to design, write proposals, and implement professional development opportunities, training seminars, interactive workshops, and research projects that will benefit the students of each organization
- to participate in international consortia and seek support from EU funds to undertake actions aligned with their common mission
