Getting Ready for Graduation
Congratulations on reaching this important milestone! Here’s everything you need to know to prepare for your graduation day at the University of Limassol.
Before the Ceremony
Students eligible to participate in the ceremony include those who meet at least one of the following criteria:
- Have received their degree but did not attend a previous graduation ceremony.
- Have completed all graduation requirements and have not yet participated in a ceremony.
- Are in the final stages of their final project, with advisor’s approval to attend.
- Have completed all degree requirements with a GPA of 70 or above, except for one remaining course not scheduled until later in the academic year.
- Are international students who have completed their coursework, have an approved final project topic (first submission), and plan to complete their studies in their home country.
If you fall under criteria: 3, 4 or 5 please contact the Registrar at registrar@uol.ac.cy to confirm your eligibility before submitting your registration request.
Note: Students who have already participated in a previous graduation ceremony may not participate again.
Registration is now open at https://www.uol.ac.cy/en/graduation-ceremony-2025/ and will remain available until Monday, May 26th. Please note that late applications will not be accepted after this deadline.
All graduates must wear the official University of Limassol gown and cap. You can rent or purchase your graduation attire through EuroJet. Further details will be shared with approved participants in due time.

Each graduate can invite a limited number of guests (4 in total). Reserve your tickets to ensure your loved ones can join you on your special day. Additional information will be shared with approved participants in due time.
Graduation Fee: €60 (non-refundable). Includes admission for the graduate and 2 guests.
Additional Guests: €25 per person (Up to 2 additional guests per student are allowed)
Children under 12: Free admission.
On the Day of the Ceremony
All participants must arrive by 5:30 PM for a mandatory rehearsal starting promptly at 6:00 PM.
The formal Graduation Ceremony will begin at 7:00 PM, followed by a celebratory cocktail reception.
Please make sure to bring your rented or purchased gown and cap with you on the day. If applicable, please collect your honour’s sachet during the rehearsal (Only students with an overall final Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least an A, (90) are eligible). Please note that the honour’s sachet will need to be returned by the 4th of July 2025 at the latest to the administration office, Nicosia or Limassol accordingly.
Graduates will be seated together by program of study (excluding honour students). Detailed instructions will be provided during the rehearsal thus, it is extremely important to be there on time.
Guests will be seated in the designated areas on a first-come first-served basis.
Follow the instructions given by staff members to ensure a smooth ceremony. The ceremony will include speeches, the awarding of symbolic degrees, and the conferral of honorary Awards of Academic Excellence.
After the Ceremony
Return your rented gown and cap at the designated location (EuroJet). If you have purchased your attire, it’s yours to keep!
The honour’s sachet must be returned to the administration office Nicosia or Limassol accordingly, by the 4th of July 2025 at the latest.
Celebrate with your family, friends, peers and faculty at the post-ceremony cocktail reception.
Degrees are not awarded during the ceremony. Once they are ready for collection, the Registrar’s Office will inform students accordingly.
Professional photographers will be available throughout the event to capture your achievements.
