It includes over 5,000 books classified using the Dewey Decimal Classification system and is regularly updated to reflect new areas of study.

Students may borrow up to 3 books at a time for a period of one week, with the option to renew for an additional week, provided no other user has requested the same material. While the Library holds a wide selection of academic resources, students are advised that key textbooks may need to be purchased independently.

These online resources allow students to access a wide range of e-books, journals, research papers, and databases, ensuring they have uninterrupted access to the information they need for their studies, even if certain printed materials are unavailable or in high demand.

The University of Limassol’s Limassol campus houses a dedicated print book collection that supports its academic programs. Books from this collection can be borrowed and are identified in the Library Catalogue with the label Limassol Library UoL.

How the Interlibrary Loan service works

The use of the Interlibrary Loan service involves two distinct stages:

  1. Registration for Interlibrary Loan Cooperation

To activate access to the service, users are required to submit once the Interlibrary Loan Cooperation Form

This form concerns the user’s registration to the interlibrary loan cooperation scheme, the acceptance of the service terms, and the activation of eligibility to place interlibrary loan requests.

  1. Submission of an Interlibrary Loan Request

For each specific item requested from a partner library, a separate request form must be submitted, depending on the type of material:

  • Interlibrary Loan – Book Request Form
  • Interlibrary Loan – Journal Article Request Form

These forms are submitted each time new material is requested and apply exclusively to the specific book or article.

Before submitting any request, users are advised to consult the Library catalogue and available electronic resources to ensure that the material is not already accessible.

Delivery of material and terms of use

Processing time, loan period, renewal options, and any restrictions are determined by the lending library. Depending on the case, material may be delivered through the University of Limassol Library or made available for on-site consultation at the holding library.

Users are required to comply with the terms of the Interlibrary Loan service and return all borrowed material within the specified deadlines.
