On Friday, 19th of January 2024, UoL welcomed a group of 40 enthusiastic high school students eager to explore the possibilities that higher education at UoL has to offer. This visit not only provided an opportunity for the students to learn more about UoL but also offered a glimpse into the dynamic academic environment.
As they arrived at our campus (92, Agias Filaxeos 3025, Limassol), they were greeted by the bustling energy of the university’s life. The spirited ambience of our newest campus provided the perfect backdrop for an eye-opening day filled with discovery and engagement.
The primary purpose of the visit was to introduce the high school students to the bachelor’s programs available at UoL. To achieve this, the university organized informational sessions, faculty-led discussions, and campus tours tailored to showcase academic excellence and diverse curriculum options.
A standout moment of the visit was the interaction between high school students with our esteemed faculty members. Dr. Snezana Eminidou, Director of the BSc in Economics, and Dr. Panagiotis Kouvaros, Co-Director of MSc in Computer Science and Business Technologies, engaged in open discussions, sharing insights into their respective fields of expertise. This interaction not only provided valuable information but also ignited the students’ curiosity and passion for their potential academic pursuits.
By the end of the visit, the high school students were visibly excited and inspired by the university’s environment and offerings. The positive feedback received highlighted the effectiveness of school visits.
