EXPERTISE
My field of research is in image analysis and biomedical image analysis. The research on biomedical image analysis is for both MRI and biological microscopy. The methodology I develop is a combination of analytical approaches, statistical approaches, and deep learning.
SHORT BIO
I am an Associate Professor at the Department of Information Technology of University of Limassol. I received a B.Eng (Honors) in Electrical Engineering from McGill University in Montreal and an MSc in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University in the City of New York. My PhD was in computer science also from Columbia University. The thesis was in the fields of image analysis and computer vision. As post-doctoral fellow at Yale University and as research scientist at university hospitals I specialized on biomedical image analysis.
