The objective of this course is to teach the students the fundamentals of object oriented programming. The course has a strong focus on understanding the core principles of designing software solutions, and managing software projects using methodologies like SCRUM. There is a minor focus on coding the actual solutions.

Learning Outcomes

  • Understand object oriented design and unit testing.
  • Understand how object oriented programming can be used in the Java language.
  • Understand how object oriented programming can be used in the C++ language.
  • Understand fundamental concepts of object oriented programming like classes, polymorphism, abstract classes and inheritance.
  • Know how to use the UML language for object-oriented designs.
