At the forefront of Europe’s criminal justice debate, #LEAP2026 — the Annual Conference of Fair Trials International, a leading international NGO dedicated to fair trial rights and human rights in criminal justice — brings together Europe’s foremost institutions and experts to drive the agenda on humanising criminal justice.
Representing the University of Limassol, Professor Demetra Sorvatzioti, Vice Rector for International Affairs and Research and Member of the Advisory Board of Fair Trials International, will take the stage to share her expertise on humanising criminal justice and the European Arrest Warrant, contributing to high-level policy and legal discussions.
Supported by the European Commission and the Oak Foundation, the conference convenes representatives from Eurojust, the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights, the UN Special Rapporteur on the Independence of Judges and Lawyers, the European Commission (DG JUST), national judiciaries, leading academics, and civil society actors.
