Diversity is a key feature of modern organizations that manifests itself in various forms, from personality and work style to all of the visible dimensions such as race, age, ethnicity or gender, to secondary influences such as religion, socioeconomics and education. The management of diversity has evolved from handling anti- discrimination compliance issues to leveraging diversity for competitive advantage. The purpose of this workshop is to give HR practitioners insight into the different aspects of diversity, how it affects business success and how it should be managed within the context of HRM.

Learning Outcomes

  • Demonstrate understanding of the concept of diversity and its various elements as well as the role of HR in managing diversity.
  • Develop strategies for managing diversity.
