Celebrating 10 Years of ERASMUS+ Days: Learning and Growing
On October 17th , representatives from the University of Limassol (UoL) participated at the ERASMUS+ Days 2026 organised by the Foundation for the Management of European Lifelong Learning Programmes (IDEP) in collaboration with the Municipality of Nicosia.
The 10th edition of the ERASMUS+ Days, a Europe-wide celebration, highlighted the value on developing the skills needed for tomorrow, and showcased how continuous learning and personal growth can help prepare us for the future.
The event brought together Higher Educational Institutions, schools, NGOs and other organisations to showcase their contributions to lifelong learning and their involvement in ERASMUS+ initiatives.
UoL proudly presented its ongoing work, sharing updates on the progress and outcomes of its ERASMUS+ co-funded initiatives like:
- EMPOWER– Enhancing Mentorship and Professional Opportunities for Women through Education and Role-modeling in ICT
- LIFT– Lesson Study In Future Teacher Education in Europe: Stimulating innovative learning and teaching practices among pre-service teachers
- InnerWorlds– A Videogame Journey Through Teen Depression and Social Pressures and
- SustaiNet– Empowering Local Governance for Sustainable Economic Growth through a network of Green Business Innovation Hub.
Through these projects, the University works on supporting inclusive education and innovative teaching methods, eliminate gender stereotypes within the education field and support the empowerment of adolescents’ mental health and capacity-building efforts that benefit both local and European communities.
The national board game developed within the KidLe– Developing an intercultural game as a pedagogic tool for the inclusion of pupils with migrant bacKground in new Learning environments project, was also available to all people visiting the event to play with and interact with. Although the project has officially concluded in 2025, this initiative formed part of the ongoing efforts to ensure the project’s outputs sustainability and continued impact beyond the project’s implementation period. The game invited players to embark on a journey across a series of colourful islands; answering questions- covering five topics (Food, Travel, Nature, Emotions, and Language), completing small missions, and navigating different challenges designed to encourage intercultural awareness, communication, and creative thinking. All board games co-created within the project are available and can be accessed for free in the digital platform developed by the project: https://kidle.monikom.com/en.
